PROJECT: CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING This was a quite the delicate process because if you used too much ink, then it would bleed, and if you pushed too hard then it would tear the rice paper. I decided to make it look a little like bamboo swaying in the wind, so I didn't do them straight, I angled them and did a few wisps of ink here and there trying to give it a whimsical look.

WEAVING
PROJECT: WEAVING
I decided to use valentine theme ribbons for this one because I liked the way that they all fit together. I kept it loose, because I wanted to maintain the integrity of all of the ribbons and not have them too scrunched together so that they could be seen. I also sewed around the edges to ensure that everything was kept in place.

GESTURE AND CONTOUR LINE DRAWINGS
PROJECTS: GESTURE AND CONTOUR LINE DRAWINGS
I tried to keep this one simple not go into too much detail. It was simple, but still a fun one because I was able to choose what I wanted to draw. There was room to do a little more shading if I wanted to add on also.

AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL ART
PROJECT: AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL ART
This piece was inspired by my day to day life. I tried to show how I go from school to class, rock climbing, and then my interactions with my friends and family. I used a variation of dot sizes to keep things interesting and still keep the integrity of the aboriginal art.

INTERNAL TEXTURE
PROJECT: INTERNAL TEXTURE- WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES
We painted these while eating foods with various textures, and so I tried to show texture in my painting by using different watercolor techniques. (such as seran wrap, or salt) I was trying to pick colors that I associated with what I felt while I was eating. Since each food was so different, I tried t use colors that were different as well

COLOR ASSIGNMENT
PROJCET: COLOR ASSIGNMENT
For the top one we painted it while listening to some very unusual music, and so I made sharp edges and kept the whole piece choppy because I felt disconnected from the music.
For the second one I used circles because they are calming and easy to create in different sizes. I used the neutral color that I created as a center and focus the rest of my piece around that.

RHYTHM SCULPTURE
I chose to do mine in just 2 colors because I wanted there to be a sense of balance, and I didn't think you could get that with too many colors. I also kept the different shapes that I used to just squares and triangles because I wanted there to be symmetry in way. I knew that I was finished was when I was able to "play" my sculpture.
NON-OBJECTIVE SQUARES
PROJECT: Non-Objective Squares
I chose to do mine this way because I even though the point was to be objective, I still wanted my personality to show through. I am very fun and bright and loud, so I wanted to portray that in my work.
